Work Readiness Training Program

Welcome to our Work Readiness Training Program! We are dedicated to preparing students with the practical skills they need to enter the workforce. Our program focuses on:

• Soft-Skills Training: 

               We help students develop essential interpersonal skills such as communication,        

               problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution, empathy, and professionalism.

• Employability Skills Training: 

               Our program equips students with the skills employers are looking for, from building a            

               compelling resume and cover letter to mastering the dos and don’ts of job interviews.

• Independent Living Skills Training:

               We believe that good employees are also responsible individuals. That’s why we include 

               training on good hygiene, time management, using technology 

               and assistive technology, appropriate dress, and appropriate behavior.

Our program is designed to help students:

• Identify possible career interests
• Set and track personal and professional goals
• Develop effective communication and conflict resolution skills
• Build a compelling resume and cover letter
• Learn and practice interview skills
• Understand what it means to be a good employee

Participants must: 

• Be between the ages of 14 and 21 years old 

• Be enrolled in a formal education program (secondary or postsecondary)

• Have a documented disability (individual education plan (IEP), individual plan for employment (IPE), 504 Plan, or other acceptable documentation).
